Tuesday, January 24th at 7 pm will be our information evening for families who have children starting kindergarten this September. Valley Christian School is the only school in Mission that offers four options: Kindergarten full time, Kindergarten 1/2 time, Distributed Learning Kindergarten and Home School Kindergarten. You are welcome to come out on the 24th and discover which option would work the best for your child’s first school year.

Come, Thursday, December 15th, and celebrate as we give “Glory In The Highest” to our Risen Saviour in celebration of his birth. The program will start at 7PM and will be performed at the Clarke Theatre, 33700 Prentis Avenue, Mission. All are invited. Free admission.

This year’s Annual General Meeting will be held Tuesday, November 15th at Mission Evangelical Free Church. The church is located at 33479 Eighth Avenue, at Dunsmuir, just north of Seventh Avenue. Registration and check in begins at 6:30 PM. Meeting will start at 7:00PM. See you there.

We are looking forward to the upcoming school year in our new location. We are now located at 32811 Dewdney Trunk Road, Mission, B.C., V2V 6X6, near the top of Cedar, a few blocks from our previous location. This will be our temporary home until we are able to move to the property we recently purchased on Cedar. The first day of school is September 6th, a full day, starting at 8:30. We look forward to greeting our returning students and welcoming the new students.

This fall, VCS will be offering a Distributed Learning program for home learners from Grade 1 to 9 in addition to the programs we offer for registered home school families. We will be able to offer a program with strong Christian courses for Gr. 1 to 9, teachers whose task it will be to help you work out individualized education plans for your children and who will be in touch with you by telephone, online or in person. Students will also be given the opportunity to take part in several classes within the school. If this is of interest to you, please give us a call @ 604-826-1388.

In addition to the Awards Night on Tuesday, June 21st for our current students, VCS is also planning a retirement celebration for Principal Bill Humphreys on that same evening at Cedar Valley Mennonite Church, 32480 Janzen Avenue, Mission at 7:00PM.
We are extending an invitation for students, families, and teachers, present and past, to attend and to send to VCS by June 17th a message of congratulations or thanks or a personal story from the past. We will be compiling these into a power point presentation to be shown that evening.

Come and join us for our annual Family Fun Fair this Saturday, May the 14th. The fair will start at 10am and the fun will continue until 3 pm. A Bouncy House, Climbing Wall, Midway Games and the Dunk Tank will be just a few of the attractions and of course there will be lots of cotton candy, ice cream and hot dogs. All are welcome. Please note change of date. Due to a double booking at Clarke Theatre our Easter Program has been changed to April 21st. The program will start at 7pm. Please come and join us as we celebrate our risen Lord.

Please join us on February 24th at 6:30pm for an entertaining evening. We will start with dinner and then present our own version of VCS Has Talent. Our students, their families and some of the staff will perform various skits,dances and musical numbers. Students artwork will be on display and auctioned off during the evening. Please invite family and friends to come out and support this Mexico Missions fundraiser for the building project some of our students will be participating in April 5-12.

Registrations open February 14th, to the general public, on a first come, first served basis. Based on this year’s present registration we are anticipating that some classrooms may fill up quickly so don’t delay. We are excited to see our second generation of students now entering our hallways.
